Music is the heartbeat of my life. From the raw, upbeat tempo of Rock and Roll with Exit Strategy, to the emotional connection of Folk, the creative challenge of Jazz with FunGuise, and the ancestral pull of Celtic music with Erin Harris and Jake Pattison—each style speaks to a different part of me. This performance is a celebration of all these styles, shared with family and friends. Erin, Jake, and perhaps a few surprise guests will join me in what we lovingly call a kitchen party. Come sing with us, share the joy and be part of the music. Hypselodoris Oo! Wowwee! Julia, Aidan, and Jaahljuu are in a band now! Who knows what could happen! Maybe they will even harmonize!

Ry Cooder asked, “How can you keep moving unless you migrate too?” Following that notion I appeared on Haida Gwaii in February 2025 for reasons that weren’t clear to me at the time and are still subject to revision. I host a country music show called Barrooms to Barricades that airs on UVic’s radio station, CFUV and write songs about the inconsistent, troubled, strange people that I love. Bubbers
Bubbers is a collection of alter-egos of Daajing Giids-based performer Julia, who takes inspiration from life's contradictions and transcribes them into electric vocal/instrumental jams. Join Bubbers (and some of their friends) for a moody, weird, playful set. David Archer

Aidan & The Tidally Resonant
A musical collective based in Daajing Giids spanning blues, jazz, folk, Celtic and bluegrass with improvisation, audience participation and community at its core. The collective is led by Aidan Schubert (guitar and vocals) alongside talented collaborators including Pete Moore (bass), Evan Amies-Galonski (drums)Spencer Lindsay (saxophone, melodica, harmonica), Jordan Koe (guitar), Warren Olmstead (saxophone), Shaun Mews (mandolin) and Elin Hilgemann (fiddle).
 William Russ, born and raised in Haida Gwaii, the middle of nowhere. An island that forces the creativity out of anybody who enters its mystical boundaries. Or spits them out if it so chooses. For years William tried to run away from this place, to find somewhere new, but he kept being pulled back for one reason or another. Now with roots fully set in place William has transformed himself into something he never could have imagined. He dreamed of being this his entire life. An MC. After years of building his MC and production skills he finds himself back in the Hip-Hop scene and making the scene on Haida Gwaii bigger, and more noticeable to the rest of the world. William "Tycoon" Russ is now collaborating with artists from around the globe; Japan, Portland Oregon, Ontario, and many more to come. He is an excellent producer. An excellent MC. And a true warrior for the culture of Hip-Hop. Inspired by the greats and by those in the underground alike there is nothing about the culture of Hip-Hop that Tycoon doesn't find inspiration from. Back from a recent years long hiatus he is now better than ever. More mature, has more wisdom to share, and funk to provide for all of those who love this incredible culture of Hip-Hop. Be on the lookout for his upcoming album Persevere and many other projects on the horizon. From Haida Gwaii to the rest of the world. Peace.
